Javascript can be a powerful addition to frames pages.
One of the biggest disadvantages of frame based websites has been that you could not refer to your subpages, unless you wanted the visitor to open it oustside the frameset.
With javascript, you can create subpages that - if loaded outside the frameset - will load themselves into the frameset.
